Forsberg comeback???
I heard the other day that the old Red Wing nemesis was skating around with the Avalanche team toying with the idea of making a comeback....brought back a lot of memories between the great epic battles between those two teams in the playoffs...favorite memory was good ol' Roy doing the Statue of Liberty pose thinking he made a great save and instead the puck was trickling in for a goal...anybody have others to share?....would love to hear them.

Blaster box bonanza
Bought a blaster box of Bowman draft picks and a Bowman Platinum blaster box from Meijers the other day....have to say I was pleasantly surprised to get an auto in both boxes...nobody great yet but who knows couple of years from now...would have liked to have gotten a couple of Tiger prospects but no dice on that
By the way, I have to give a big shout out to the Maize and Blue BB team for their win over Izzo and the Sparties tonite!!! GO BLUE!!!!

Michigan got it right!!
Welcome Brady Hoke!!
The more I read about Brady Hoke and after watching his opening press conference, there is no doubt in my mind that Michigan got the right coach to lead them back into prominence. His initial coaching hires were solid and intriguing but the hire yesterday of Greg Mattison was HUGE! to say the least. Here's a guy who brings instant credibility on the recruiting trail to the young men he will be talking to about coming to play for the Wolverines. Well done Dave Brandon!! We have a true "Michigan Man" to lead the Maize and Blue in the years to come. Here's an auto from my Legacy series and a few reprint subset of former covers from gameday programs from past years:

What to do...What to do?
I got an offer in the Topps Redemption Giveaway today for a 1954 Topps Tiger card of Jim Delsing for the 1961 Topps of Phil Rizzuto All-Star card....
I made a trade of a 1972 Rennie Stennett for a 1972 Mickey Stanley...should I make the trade for the Tiger? What to do? What to do?
Here's the card I got in my trade .

Trades made with Topps redemptions
One of the neat thing about the Topps million card redemption is that you can trade on line with others for cards you want ( for me that's Tigers)...I was able to trade a couple of my older cards for a couple of vintage cards of Tigers...I was happy to get them...have gotten a lot of junk offers for the Rizzuto...one guy offered me about 60 junk cards for him...90% of the 60 cards were from the '80s and '90s of no namers..I have a couple offers out for a Kaline for the Rizzuto...it would be nicer for my boy to have one of the great Tigers..we'll see what happens..I'll keep you posted.

Happy New Year!!
In honor of all the football games to be played today, including my beloved Wolverines, here's a few scans of my favorite collection, the TK Legacy University of Michigan Collection. GO BLUE!!!!!
I was privileged to be at the Tim Biakabutuka game in the first card where they upset the Buckeyes when they were #2 and knocked them out of the title game. It was Charles Woodson's first year at UM.... Eddie George from OSU won the Hieseman Trophy that year but on that date, Timmy had one of the greatest games ever by any running back.
These are from one of the subsets, M-Stats which have a certain stat that lead to a UM victory....one cool thing about all of the series is that EVERY card is an on-card autograph...no stickers at all. I will be showing some different cards from the many subsets that make up the Signature series.
